EMPLOYEE BIOS
Current employees:
L.A. - Current owner. I was a longtime customer of the BR and eventually a sales representative for Smith Optics. I actually got to sell Smith gear to the Boardroom so I've known the BR for a while. I love this place and still can't believe I am the guy running this place. The BR 20 years and counting. Stop on by if you are in Jackson.
Chelsey Lewis - Has been working here for a year and is rad.
Johnny Cup Cakes - Works here from time to time
Andrew Krikke - Worked here for a year and is on the diasbled list currently getting his back reworked back in Michigan and we hope he makes a great recovery. We hope to see Andrew and his girlfriend Betsy back here sooner than later because they also are rad.
Marc Loebe - Last but not least, Marc is still around from time to time. He is our splitboard guru. He can cut your board into a custom splitboard. And he is also available for repair work on boards if L.A. can't make it happen. Marc has been amazing in this transition. Thanks Marc :-)
Former BR employees:
Mathew Grabowski - Written by Matt in his own language
Matthew G. comes from Baltimore, Md and is twenty seven years old. He grew up skiing south central Pennsylvania. He started snowboarding at age 17. Matt has been in search of great snow and spectacular views since he was a youngen. At the age of twenty one he set out for Colorado. After spending four years in Colorado, two years in Winter Park and two in Vail, he moved to Mount Hood, Or. for summertime riding. In the fall of 2004 he made his way to Jackson Hole, Wy. with good friends and high hopes. Many years have gone by and Matt has always wanted to rip powder and now he's Living Large. Matt is still kicking around in Jackson and can be seen skating the mini ramp here at the shop during the summer and out at the village boarding during the winter.
Chris Stall - Written by Chris with the help of his literate wife Jill
From the wilds of Killington, Vermont to the glacial slopes of Mt. Hood, Oregon Chris Stall has traveled the country refining his authority on base welding, split board chopping and fine grinding. After committing himself to Jackson Hole, Wyoming he is currently serving a life sentence at the Boardroom pysch facility for being a wax-a-holic.
Jared Hicks [17 yrs. Old] - Written by Jared in his own high school non-intense way
Grew up in Jackson and soon realized that I loved winter sports after becoming addicted to riding on the mountain. I gained the street knowledge of skiing and applied it to work. Not only have I grown up with Marc, but I also have put much of my time into manual labor for the Boardroom. I think he enjoys watching me suffer. If you want to work here all you have to do is wreak your car into Marc's, he made me work off the repair costs and I'm still here. Hitting Marc's car kind of helped me in a way I found a good job. I sk8, ski, and eat.
Marc Loebe-Owner/Operator - Written by Marc, coached and corrected by his loving wife Dana
Since the time of the Big Bang, I have been involved in snowboarding. I thought that I could compete and race. Yeah, right. Selling snowboards and gear for more than the last twenty years, I've mixed it up giving lessons, repair and tuning, and running a snowboard shop. Out of bounds, steep powder trees, hiking, and big mountain riding seems to be my nirvana. In the summer we are involved in skateboarding. When not selling skateboarding gear, shoes, etc. I have been spearheading the construction of our outdoor concrete skate park, phase1 and now phase2. We organize one or two events every year. Local snowboard or skateboard contests with music and give aways, you know the drill. Jackson Hole is a beautiful area. Fly fishing is excellent here and so is camping. The wild life here is never ending. Come by for a visit and stop in and see us.
